All people around the world share the same moon. Let’s share this spirit of connection and belonging as we wish our Muslim sisters and brothers Ramadan Kareem.
Ramadan lasts for a cycle of the moon. We must name the horrors of fascism that are invading the world, fuelling fear and self-interest, intolerance and division, but we stand with the light of hope shining down from moon as it grows each day of Ramadan.
Huge respect to our Muslim friends as they continue to observe Ramadan with fasting, reflection, slowing down and making acts of compassion, generosity and giving. The darker it gets in this world, the lighter shines the Ramadan moon which can not be extinguished. Our Ramadan wish is peace for everyone, everywhere.
