There is a huge amount of misinformation in the media about refugees and asylum seekers. 

Please read our fact sheet below, and get talking to friends and family about the true reasons people come to the UK, which are to seek protection from persecution, war and violence. Spreading the word about the true plight of asylum seekers and refugees, countering the media misinformation, is a really important way of helping. We strongly encourage you to write to your local MP too and show solidarity by putting up a poster from the Together with Refugees campaign.
