We are about creating a welcoming space for people who are new to the area, whether they are here for a short length of time or want to build their life here. Our activities support newcomers to thrive in the community, by meeting local people, sharing experiences, improving English language skills, promoting fun and friendship.

We also want to encourage Cumbria to be a place that welcomes asylum seekers, to raise awareness of the truth about refugees and asylum seekers among local people, and to influence local politicians to use their vote to support laws that are fair, humane and just.
