New Service for Refugees Launched

PERN is pleased to announce our new Refugee Support service for refugees who have come through the asylum route. The aim of this service is to provide long-term, person-centred support to help new refugees navigate life, live and thrive. The working model is very much about helping people to help themselves and each other.

Gamal Hawam and Catherine Shreeve (pictured) are working part-time leading on this work, including growing a strong team of volunteers. Do drop in on a Tuesday (13:00 to 15;00) to Carlisle College Library (CA1 1HS) to find out more.

Thank you to The National Lottery and Cumberland Council for supporting this work.
