One of the things we are looking for is hosting refugees until they can find more permanent accommodation in the area.

To be a host, you need to be in reach of Penrith so that there is easy access the town. We also ask that hosts provide food for the refugees at least until they receive benefits. Both the host families and the refugees will need to undergo reference checks. A weekend stay may occur with the host family before the refugee goes to stay with them for up to two months.
