Penrith And Eden Refugee Network

Film and social on Sunday 27 March

Please come along to the Alhambra cinema in Penrith at 17.45 to watch Flee, and join PERN members in the Fell bar afterwards at 52 King St, Penrith, CA11 7AY.

Based on the true story of a child refugee’s journey from Afghanistan to Denmark, Flee is described as ‘a masterful blend of animation and documentary, which is moving, momentous, heart-breaking and tragic’. It looks into the lives of refugees and the extreme lengths they go to for safety, and tells the story of one man’s escape from a warzone as his past finally catches up with him and threatens to ruin his life. Since its premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, Flee has been nominated for multiple awards including the Oscars, BAFTAs and a Golden Globe.
